My
name is Diane Pleasant. I have worked in the field of arts and craft
for over 25 years in the Jackson, Mississippi area with the YMCA,
the Jackson Public Schools and local churches.
For several years I have taught professional development classes
for the Jackson Public Schools. One of the classes was for arts
and crafts entitled "Trash to Treasures". Periodically,
I teach "Printshop for Professional Use" , "Paintbrush
for Windows", "Windows 95", and "Managing the
Internet".
I have taught the same "Trash to Treasures" class for
the NAAEYCECE conference in Nashville, Tennessee and the MECC in
Jackson, Mississippi.
Curently, I teach art at St. Paul Presbyterian School on a biweekly
basis. The rest of the week you would find me in my studio making
handbuilt pottery which is sold locally at Southern Breeze Gallery.
See my products page for a look at some of my work.
Some of my other loves are ceramics, candlemaking, mosaic work,
sewing, painting, gardening, children and adult crafting of all
types.
